Epping, N.H. – 19-year-old Even Beaulieu of Maine started third and finished second in the caution-free Amsoil Nelcar Series Legends car race at Star Speedway in Epping, N.H. over the weekend.
“Overall it was a really good day,” Evan said. “We had a bad push in the car early on in the day but we kept working on it and getting it better. We finished second in our heat race and that put us third to start the feature. The car was going really good in the feature but we just didn’t have enough to get the win. Shaun Buffington was behind me the whole way and I’m happy we were able to get through all the traffic and keep him there!”
Evan’s teammate Alicia Perry made her debut at Star and managed to put the car in the trailer in one piece for what Evan termed “a very successful debut.”
The No. 56 Hancock Lumber team will head North to I-95 Speedway in Herman, Maine to compete in the Dysart’s Northeast Showdown next weekend.
