Loudon, N.H. – It would be just about any racer’s dream to win a race that is run at a NASCAR track on the morning of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.
Evan Beaulieu fell just short of accomplishing that dream on Sunday when he finished second to Shawn Buffington in the special INEX Legends division event held last Sunday morning at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) prior to the Lenox 301 for the Sprint Cup Series.
Evan started fifth out of 21 cars and worked his way to second by lap four. In a race that was filled with six caution flags Evan could stay with Shawn but didn’t have enough to get around him.
“Our car was a lot better last Sunday than it was the week before at NHMS when we struggled to get third. We had what we needed to stay with Shawn this time. Now we just need to find another tenth or two so we can pass him when we go back there on Saturday!”
Beaulieu picked up the win at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway last Thursday as well. He and the Hancock Lumber No. 56 team return to action there this Thursday night before heading out to NHMS again on Saturday, July 21st.
