Beech Ridge, Maine – Evan Beaulieu overcame front end issues in practice to start on the pole for the Amsoil Nelcar INEX Legends Series feature at Beech Ridge Speedway in Beech Ridge, Maine before running into a buzz saw in the form of his teammate Charlie Buxton.

Buxton and Beaulieu swapped the lead back and forth throughout the race before Buxton nipped Evan at the line for the victory. Evan was as proud in victory lane as if he’d just gotten the win himself.

“I am so proud of Charlie,” Evan smiled. “He’s one of my best friends and it’s been so much fun running him in a second car out of our shop this year. It’s great to see him get his first win in four years and his first ever at Beech Ridge. It was really cool to race with him tonight and be a part of that win for him!”

The race that was scheduled for last Saturday night at Star Speedway in Epping, N.H. was rained out and will be run this coming Saturday. Evan will first head back to Beech Ridge for round 8 of VIP Thursday Thunder on Thursday night with his family-owned Hancock Lumber No. 56.
