Durham, Maine – Evan Beaulieu was improving steadily in his first season of Super Late Model racing at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.  After a series of top ten finishes to start the finish out, the team was getting more comfortable each week racing in the Pro Series division.

Then a change in tire a few weeks ago set him back. Now he is slowly making progress again, leading a few laps on Saturday night before eventually falling back to 14th at the checkers.

“We got thrown for a really big loop when we went from American Racer tires to Hoosiers,” the young racer said. “That definitely set us back because we had to basically start all over again on setup.  We’ve been struggling ever since.  Saturday night the car felt better and we were able to lead before getting shuffled back on some restarts.  My team is trying and I am trying.  I can’t thank my crew and my marketing partners enough for being patient with me.  We just need to keep learning and stay positive.  We definitely made progress on Saturday and I believe we’re going in the right direction now.”

Last Thursday night, Evan drove from the rear of the field after an early incident, to a fifth place finish in the Legends Car division on Thursday night at Beech Ridge.  He also took part of the popular autograph session after the races and getting to meet the thousands of people who come on Thursday nights to see them race.
