Durham, ME – Evan Beaulieu has had a busy offseason, and through the bitter cold of the Northeast during this time of year, it’s hard to realize that the race season is right around the corner. The first reminder comes this weekend, as Evan will take part in the 7th Annual DT100 for Make-A-Wish Foundation event held at Maine Indoor Karting in Scarborough, Maine.  The event brings together over 100 of the best drivers along the East Coast to compete against each other in equally prepared go-karts, all for a great cause.  The race, which Evan finished fifth overall in last year, raised over $30,000 last year for Make-A-Wish and the pre-race net donations have raised over $20,000. This is an event Evan looks forward to every year.

“I’m really excited for this event, last year was my first one and it was a great experience and all for a great cause,” Evan said of the event, “It’s a chance to race against a bunch of drivers I wouldn’t normally have a chance to compete with, and we’re all naturally competitive so I’ve been there a few times practicing for the race and I want to do well, but at the end of the day there’s a bigger reason we are doing it and I’m glad I can help in any way I can.”

While they call it the “offseason,” Evan has been plenty busy, doing all he can to attract potential sponsors for the upcoming race season and continue to rise through the ranks of the Northeast racing scene. The current plan for the team is to compete in the first handful of Pro All Stars Series North events, but finances will play a big role in that, as they do in racing for any driver. Aside from getting prepared for the new season, he has also been busy continuing to build his graphic design company, Nitro Designs, including building the website for the DT100 to collect online donations, which have gained $6,000 so far.

“Between working at Hancock Lumber, Nitro Designs and working on our plans for this season, there hasn’t been much spare time,” Evan said of his busy schedule, “Any spare time I get recently I like to spend with my niece London, she was born in September, and I adopted a puppy a few months ago so she’s been keeping me plenty busy too, it’s been fun and I’m ready to get back behind the wheel, I feel like we’re going to have a great year.”

Evan is currently looking for marketing partners for the 2015 racing season to compete full time in some of the biggest races in the Northeast in the PASS North Series, including the Oxford 250 and the inaugural PASS event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Sponsoring Evan gets you more than just a decal on a racecar, as he is very well connected with his loyal fans and throughout the racing community to get your company or product’s name out there better than most standard forms of advertising, in a fun and unique environment.
