Durham, ME – After a long and cold Northeast winter, Evan Beaulieu and the Beaulieu Racing team are ready to get the #56 Hancock Lumber Chevrolet back on track for the 2015 racing season. This season, the team will be getting started early as they hit the track for the first time this weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway for the Pro All Stars Series North season opener, the AIM Recycling and Kenny U-Pull 150. The event will feature both the PASS North Series and the American Canadian Tour, two of the most popular short track racing tours in the country, together for the first time ever. This will give the fans a full afternoon of great short track racing. Going into the event, Beaulieu is looking forward to improving on his first run at Oxford last fall.
“I grew up going to this track and it means a lot to me to come here and it’s even better to be a part of the first twin 150s between PASS and ACT,” Beaulieu said of the event, “We ran pretty well here considering we started 26th last fall and the race went caution free for a good portion of it. This winter has been a long and busy one, we haven’t had as much time to put in the car as we would’ve liked and the old body is back on it, but my crew and I have done a lot of work these last few weeks to be ready and we will do the best we can, I feel confident with how we ran last year that we can have a stronger finish this time around. I’m really excited to have my great sponsors back this season and I can’t thank them enough for their support.”
Beaulieu finished 13th in his first PASS race last fall at Oxford Plains Speedway after winning the consolation race and starting from the 26th position. After clawing his way through the field on a long 90 lap run under green, Beaulieu found himself inside the top ten in the race’s final laps after a series of cautions at the finish relegated him to the eventual 13th place. It was a great finish for the team in what was one of the most difficult seasons in Beaulieu’s racing career. This year however, the team is determined to get back to running up front consistently and it will all start this weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway.
The racing action will kick off on Saturday, April 18th at 2:00PM at the famed Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine. The event will include a full slate of PASS Modified, Street Stock and Wicked Cool Midgets as the ACT Late Models and PASS Super Late Models headline the show. Early pre registration indicates there will be close to 40 Super Late Models at the track this weekend looking to make their way into the 150 lap feature event. Come out to the track this weekend and cheer on the #56 Hancock Lumber Super Late Model! The team is still actively searching for sponsorship as they will attempt to run a majority of the PASS North events this season, if you are interested in joining a winning team and getting your companies name more exposure for your money through the power of motorsports, please contact Evan by e-mailing him at [email protected].
