After five years of competition in the Amsoil Nelcar Legends Car Tour across New England, Evan Beaulieu will be moving up the racing ladder to the Pro Series Super Late Models for the 2013 season.

Evan will race at Maine’s premier motorsports facility, the Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, driving for former Beech Ridge track champion Dan McKeage. The up and coming racer is looking forward to getting the next phase of his racing career underway in a car that will carry his familiar No. 56.

“This is a great opportunity for me at this stage of my career,” Evan said. “I cannot thank Dan and his team for giving me the chance. This group has so much experience and success with these cars and that will help me speed up my learning curve as I transition from the Legends cars to the larger Super Late Models. I’m already anxious, I’m ready for the season to start now.”

Evan also said he will still work with the Legends cars next year, running some of the area’s bigger events. “I enjoy helping the younger drivers out so we’ll still keep a hand in that and run a few shows here and there,” he confirmed. “Our focus will be on the Pro Series car though. This is something I’ve been working toward for a couple of seasons now and I want to make the most of the opportunity.”
